“SPACE BATTLESHIP Yamato” bombarded by 100,000 applications for private screening

A private screening of upcoming movie “SPACE BATTLESHIP Yamato” was held at the Tokyo International Forum on November 1st, and it’s reportedly received a staggering amount of requests for seats.

According to distribution agency Toho, the film reserved 3,800 seats for the private screening, but the agency received approximately 100,000 applications!

Based off an animation which was broadcasted back in 1974, “SPACE BATTLESHIP Yamato” was revived for a live-action movie which stars SMAP member Kimura Takuya and actress Kuroki Meisa. Due to the high expectations that both retro fans and casual movie-buffs had of the film, the two main leads expressed their anxiety about viewer reactions at the post-screening press conference.

Kimura Takuya said, “I felt a little anxious about seeing your facial expressions after you watched the movie, but now that I see them, I feel full of exaltation.”

Meisa piped in, “I felt pressure and tension in the beginning, because it’s a movie which has been loved by many people, but I tried my best. ” She also admitted with a big smile that this was the first time that she co-starred with Kimura, but she really enjoyed working with him.

“SPACE BATTLESHIP Yamato” will be released in theaters on December 1st.

I'll be there for you: Courteney Cox thanks 'amazing' friend Jennifer Aniston for her support as she insists she's not getting divorced... yet

Telling: Courteney Cox arrives at an LA hotel today with her wedding ring firmly in place

Courteney Cox has broken her silence over her split with husband David Arquette saying it has taken 'courage' to end their marriage.

The Hollywood star also revealed how her former Friends star Jennifer Aniston is helping her cope with the split.

She said Aniston,40, who went through a very public and painful split with Brad Pitt, had been 'amazing.'

'She's gone through it': Courteney says best friend Jennifer Aniston has been 'amazing' throughout her separation, pictured together here in Cougar Town

Back on? The Cougar Town star's ring was visible

'We just have fun, we laugh, we're inseparable and it's great,' Cox says.
'It's funny, a lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or like Jennifer who has gone through it.

'I don't know what's going on in the planets or what, but things are being shaken up and I don't know what's going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing for sure.'

Cox, 46, and Arquette, 39, announced their split two weeks ago after 11 years of marriage.

Arquette later appeared on a radio station and revealed how he cried the first time he had sex with another woman after the split.

He also revealed other intimate details about the failed married.

Trial separation: Courteney Cox has given a candid interview where she says she and David are not divorcing

Cox insisted that she and Arquette, who have a six year old daughter Coco, were not yet getting divorced.

Adding fuel to suggestions of a reconciliation, the actress was spotted today wearing her wedding ring.

Despite him publicly admitting he has slept with another woman, she insists it is only a 'trial separation.'

'I don't know what will happen, but this is not like we're getting divorced,' Cox told TV Week magazine.

'This is a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us.'

Good terms: David revealed to US TV hosts Regis and Kelly that the couple would take their daughter trick or treating together over the weekend

She accepted that after 11 years of marriage they no longer wanted the same things.
'Sometimes you just realise 'Wow, we actually have grown apart,' she says.
The couple will be seen together in Scream 4, the latest in the horror film franchise.

They had first met making Scream with Cox playing a TV reporter and Arquette and town sheriff.

Arquette apologised for revealing too much after telling radio shock jock Howard Stern on his radio show last month that the couple had not had sex for four months.

He also revealed that his sexual encounter with waitress Jasmine Waltz made him feel 'manly,' and that he and Courteney had agreed they could see other people as part of their separation.

But the Friends actress has shot down claims of an open marriage, dismissing them as 'stories' by her kooky husband.

Denials: The Cougar Town actress has dismissed claims made by David (pictured with her and Coco in April) that they had an open marriage

'[David's] a kook,' she told the magazine. 'It’s not shocking and Howard Stern he loves him and I’m a fan of Howard Stern.

'I don’t know that I would call him right now, but… David is an entertainer and I’m sure the people who listen to the radio are entertained by his stories.

'I always thought of myself as the greatest wife because I’ll do whatever I want to do and I don’t mean open marriage, that’s not what we had.'

'I am not doing anything. No dating,' she added. 'I hate to go out, so, I don’t know how that would work. I’m a homebody.'

Arquette claimed during his Howard Stern interview that Courteney had an 'emotional affair' with her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt.

David appeared on morning show Live with Regis and Kelly last week to begin what is sure to be a somewhat awkward round of promotion for the couple's new film Scream 4, but says they have maintained a good relationship.

Arquette told the hosts he still has a good relationship with Cox despite their separation and went on to reveal that they had in fact gone for dinner together just the night before.

He also revealed the two are just in different places in their lives, with Cox wanting 'growth' and him 'feeling a little wild.'

He says both parents will take their daughter Coco trick or treating over the weekend: 'Coco is going to be a bumblebee and Courteney is going to be a sunflower,’ he said. ‘I’ll put on a flower suit or something.'

Skinny Nadine Coyle insists she does eat as she reveals plans to launch her own cookery show

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Culinary queen: Nadine Coyle has revealed plans to launch her own cookery show
Asked what she thinks when she sees pictures criticising her weight, Nadine replied: 'I do look at pictures of myself sometimes and think, "Oh my God, I look really skinny."

She's caused controversy with her skinny appearance in recent months.

But Nadine Coyle has come forward to insist she does maintain a balanced diet, as well as revealing plans to launch her own cookery show.

The 25-year-old singer posed as a housewife in this week's Heat magazine as she admitted she would love to follow in Delia Smith and Jamie Oliver's footsteps.

'But I do eat, I love Lucky Charms cereal and potatoes, and I'd 'love, love, love to do a cookery show.'

Earlier this year, Nadine insisted: 'I am 100 per cent fit and healthy and I am the right weight for my type of body. I am totally happy with my weight. I’m just doing a lot of running with my trainer back home in LA.

Controversial: Nadine has caused controversy with her tiny figure

'When I get back to Derry I always enjoy a good fry-up that my mum makes. That’s my big weakness. I also eat too much chocolate as well. If I’m honest I’m not a particularly healthy eater.'

The full interview appears in this week's Heat magazine

Nadine, who recently released her debut solo single Insatiable, also spoke to Heat about Girls Aloud bandmates Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, admitting she hasn't spoken to them for 13 months.

Nadine added that while she is finding it 'a lot calmer' being a solo artist, she thinks it is unfair that she has been blamed for the end of Girls Aloud.

She said: 'Nobody has spoken to me about a reunion. Cheryl is doing her music, so it would be near enough impossible for her to do a solo and a Girls Aloud one. But how it’s my fault is beyond me.'

The apparent feud between the girls started to get more serious when Sarah, Kimberley and Nicola all went to watch Cheryl perform her new single Promise This on The X Factor.

But Nadine admitted: 'I didn’t know it was happening. But it’s fine, it really is…'
The full interview with Nadine is in this week's edition of Heat magazine, out now.

X Factor's Mary Byrne considering gastric band operation in desperate bid to lose weight

Desperate: Mary Byrne's daughter has said the X Factor contestant would consider having a gastric band fitted

She doesn't look like your average pop star.

But X Factor star Mary Byrne is so desperate to lose weight that she is ready to use a gastric band to help her slim down.

The Tesco worker, who has taken the show by storm, is currently competing against stick-thin acts such as Cher Lloyd and has already spoken of her battle to shed three stone.

Asked if her mother would consider having a gastric band fitted, Deborah Byrne, 23, said: 'If the offer was there she could but I think she wants to do it naturally.

'If it came down to the crunch, and she had to, she probably would,' she told New! Magazine.

'She gets down about her weight. She does want to lose weight, obviously for health reasons. But she doesn't complain about it.

But her daughter has now revealed that surgery may be the only option after failing to lose the weight naturally.

She has also admitted that her mother often takes to the stage in pain because she suffers from arthritis in her legs - a condition which is being made worse by her weight.

She has also claims that the pressure of competing in the show means the 50-year-old star is comfort eating and bingeing on junk food and chocolate.

On a mission: Mary has admitted she is keen to lose weight and get fitter

'She only complains because of the effect it has on the arthritis in her legs. That's what gets to her. But, even when she's in pain, she still gives it 100 per cent.'

The star recently admitted she has been taking a cocktail of anti-depressants and blood pressure tablets to battle her weight problems.

In the first week of the programme Mary, from Ballyfermot, Dublin, collapsed in agony during rehearsals because of her arthritis.

'I'm also on blood pressure tablets and I know I have to lose three stone and I'm determined to do it,' she said.

'The arthritis gets really sore at times. During rehearsals on the first week I had to stop and sit down through them.'

The full interview appears in this week's New! magazine

'After my partner walked out on me to bring up my baby alone I sunk into a dark depression.

'I coped with it by comfort eating and it was a vicious circle. The weight went on dramatically and I ended up hating myself.

'I couldn't stand what I saw when I looked in the mirror. It was very tough and my confidence was at an all time low.

'I was in a rut that I couldn't escape. You can't help but feel unwanted when your partner walks out on you. He didn't want to know about my daughter Debbie and that hurt deeply.

'I put on weight when I was pregnant with the baby then got back down to nine stone. But then it started piling on again as I adjusted to life as a single mum. It was lonely at times.

'But I'm on a mission to get fitter and be in good shape by the end of the show. It's the perfect motivation for me to get healthy.

'I've started to eat better food and try to maintain a healthy diet. I've made no secret of the fact that I'm on anti-depressants too to help me cope with the change of life.

'I'm not looking for sympathy though - I want people to vote for me on the X Factor based on my performances, not the sympathy vote.'

Kate Moss sticks to sombre black as she launches her last ever collection for Topshop

Sombre: Kate Moss stuck to black as she launched her new and final collection for Topshop

It's the end of an era, so it's no wonder Kate Moss is finding it hard to accept.

The 36-year-old model appeared to be mourning the end of her four-year collaboration with Topshop as she stuck to black to launch her last ever collection for the high-street store.

However, being one of the world's most famous supermodels, Kate decided to pull off her outfit with her usual aplomb, and arrived at the Oxford Circus store wearing a custom-made, daring, plunging sparkly black jumpsuit.

And with her blonde hair teased into tumbling curls, as well as a dash of bright red lipstick, Kate looked more than a little like 60's screen siren Brigitte Bardot with her glamorous look.

The launch incorporated a 'shopping extravaganza' party at Topshop's flagship London store, where fans were given the chance to buy designs from the collection ahead of its launch.

Guests were also entertained by a DJ, given the chance to sample the delights at the cocktail bar, and were given a collectible poster with every purchase.

Final farewell: The new collection marks the end of a four-year collaboration between Kate and Topshop

Successor: Kate also posed with Sir Philip's daughter Chloe, who is rumoured to be her replacement

The collection, which is inspired by Seventies fashions, includes floral printed day dresses, velvet hotpants and a black chainmail dress.

Along with her final collection, Topshop is also releasing Kate Iconic, a capsule collection of her 10 most popular designs.

Topshop owner Sir Philip Green, who is also a close friend of Kate, announced in August that the supermodel's collection for the chain would be coming to an end.

He said: 'It has been fantastic for us and fantastic for her, but [the designs] take more and more time and she cannot do this full-time any more.'

Moss and Green met by chance at a charity auction in 2006 and she suggested that they should 'do something' together, as she had always wanted her own fashion line.
When her designs first hit Topshop's flagship store in Oxford Street in May 2007, around 2,000 women queued around the block for the opportunity to spent just 20 minutes perusing the collection.

Speaking about the collection's demise to The New York Times' online T blog recently, Moss said: 'When we started the project we didn't have an end in mind but I'm really proud of all 14 collections.

'I've learned a lot about the design and development process; experiences that I'd only ever seen informally through being a model.'

Swansong: The final collection includes Seventies-inspired outfits

Proud: Kate insists she is proud of all 14 of her Topshop collections

To mark the launch of the collection today, Topshop will also distribute keys on Tuesday on the streets of London, Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham and Edinburgh to shoppers in a contest for a trunk of the model's dresses.

One lucky fan will have the chance to win the jumpsuit Kate wore to the launch party by choosing a favourite piece from any of the Moss Topshop collections and revealing why.

Kate's final collection is available to buy in store and online now.

Swarmed: Thousands of fans turned up for Kate's appearance at Topshop

Dannii and Cheryl snub Jamiroquai after his foul-mouthed rant before X Factor performance

Snubbed: Jamiroquai performed his new single on the X Factor last night but was ignored by judges Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole after his derogatory remarks about them

For someone that's been away from the music scene for some time, you'd have thought that Jay Kay would have been more than grateful for some much-needed air time.

But the Jamiroquai front man's return to live television on the X Factor last night went down like the proverbial lead balloon after he hurled foul-mouthed insults at judges Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole before he took to the stage.

The singer, 40, appeared on the results programme of the ITV talent show last night to perform his new single White Knuckle Ride.

But his set was met with silence from the two ladies who refused to applaud him after he made the foul-mouthed and derogatory remarks about them this weekend.

Jay Kay - real name Jason Kay - called the two judges 'f***ing useless' in an ill-judged interview that appeared in The Sun newspaper.

He said: 'What the f***. When have you ever done anything? You’re useless. The pair of you.

'I mean you look great and I’d like to f****** s**g you but that’s all.'

He added: 'I just don’t like the w**** stuff I have to do. F****** X Factor and that.

Bad reception: Dannii, Louis Walsh, and Cheryl look unimpressed while Simon Cowelll looks on in bemusement

'I’m going to have to sing in front of f****** amateurs. Do you know what I mean?'

But the singer soon regretted his tirade after Dannii and Cheryl sat talking among themselves during his set and refused to applaud him afterwards.

Fellow judge Louis Walsh also snubbed him while Simon Cowell half-halfheartedly applauded the singer.

Usually, all four judges give guest performers a rousing reception and a standing ovation.

Sheepish: Jay Kay tried to save face as he talked to host Dermot O'Leary after his performance and said he'd had a 'wonderful' time

Saving face: Jay Kay tried to make a joke about his comments as Dermot sought a reaction from the judges

Possibly regretting his comments, Jay Kay then tried to save face with host Dermot O'Leary who came on stage after the set.

Looking sheepish, the singer said: 'I have to say, I’ve had reservations about appearing on the show but I’ve had a wonderful day.

'Everybody’s been charming, it’s been wonderful.'

Dermot then asked Jay Kay if he'd met any of the judges before, to which the singer quipped: 'Well, I’ve met two of them.’

No backstage invite: Jay Kay is snapped leaving the X Factor studios after his performance

Enthusiastic: The judges cheered wildly as they gave singer Rihanna a standing ovation

At that point, Cheryl turned stony-faced towards Dannii as they mouthed something to each other.

Jamiroquai's new album Rock Dust Light Star is released today and is the band's first album since their 2005 offering Dynamite.

Their reaction was completely different to the other guest stars Bon Jovi and Rihanna, who also performed on the live show

Rihanna even got a very enthusiastic standing ovation from the judging panel and Dermot joked to Cheryl that it was good to see her smiling again.
